My name is Christine Becker and I welcome you to my little world of growing, beauty, and peace! I discovered the love of flowers, gardening, birds, and all things nature as a very young toddler.
I laugh when my dad tells me the story of me going outside at about 6 am when I was only about 6 or 7 years old to listen to the birds. A couple of years later I brought my notebook and bird book with me, so I could try to identify them.
From a young age to the time I moved out of my parents house, I had an area where I could grow whatever I wanted. This would be a mixture of flowers and vegetables, and it always made me so happy.
Nature has always been a form of comfort, fun, and peace to me. I am happy when my hands are in dirt, making things beautiful. Or, perhaps its with a camera in my hand, capturing the beauty of the birds and flowers around me.
Moving into my first apartment was hard, as I had no land to enjoy this precious nature of mine. I filled that need with constantly taking my sons to nature centers, state forests, parks, ponds, and open spaces. I also had an apartment full of house plants to help with my need of growing and the beauty of nature.
I now have the privilege of living on 10 acres where I can grow, observe, create, test, invite and conserve, and it makes me happy. I’ve always said, I feel so close to God when I’m out in nature. 🙂
I hope to bring you knowledge, appreciation, value and fun as I pour my passion into these pages. Thank you for being here. Sharing this love of all things nature is a great thing to share. Please feel free to contact me any time at all. I’m here. 🙂
